About Us

John is a native Iowan and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Accounting. He started his career as a CPA with McGladrey & Pullen in 1991 providing audit and tax services. After 3 ½ years in public accounting, John has been providing specialized recruiting for large, medium and small businesses throughout the Midwest. John has been an active volunteer with the Iowa Society of CPA’s, serving on the Career Awareness Committee. 

Michael joined the recruiting team in the fall of 2013 after graduating from Central College – majoring in Business Management. During his time at Central he contributed to the success of the baseball team and volunteering during his free time. Michael has been a high achieving addition to the team, and continues to learn and grow with the company. During his free time Michael enjoys being active outdoors, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family. 

Barb grew up in Titonka, Iowa and moved to Des Moines in 1988. She has been in the staffing and recruiting industry since 1997 and has worked as a staffing manager, recruiter as well as owning her own staffing agency for 8 years. Her passion is matching candidates up with their ideal position as well as helping clients to find that perfect employee for their open position. Barb enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, as well as their 3 grown boys and 2 grandchildren as well as spending time outdoors and baking in the kitchen! 

Kylie was born and raised in Knoxville, IA. She attended the University of Iowa majoring in Psychology and graduating in 2009. Kylie worked for 5 years in the banking industry, but has always wanted to get into staffing and recruiting. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her baby boy Wesson and her husband, reading, and spending time with family and friends. 

Teagan joined the Midwest team as a recruiter in the summer of 2015 immediately after graduating from Augustana College where he majored in Business Administration with minors in management and marketing. During his time at Augustana he played football while also trying to give back to the community whenever possible. When not working, Teagan enjoys staying active and spending time with his family and friends. 

Emily grew up in Des Moines, IA. She received her Associate’s degree soon after high school and started working in the insurance industry. After a few years, she moved to AZ for an opportunity to sell insurance. During this time, she also completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Phoenix. Emily joined our recruiting team soon after moving back to IA. She enjoys meeting new people and assisting them throughout their job search. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Liz is a Hawkeye native from Iowa City, IA and moved to Grimes, IA in July, 2014. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Management and Entrepreneurship degree in 2012 and has worked in the fitness and financial world before making the switch to the staffing industry. She loves doing yoga and spending time with her family, friends and son in her free time! 

Kim grew up and lived in Ankeny until 1989, and then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas for fifteen years. In 2004, she and her family returned to their home state settling in Winterset, Iowa. Kim joined our team in January of 2013 and enjoys being part of the staffing industry. She finds that no two days are ever the same and enjoys the chance to meet and help people. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, grandkids and friends.
