Four Greater Des Moines-based life insurance companies have been included on this year’s prestigious Ward’s 50 list. American Equity Investment Life Holding Co., American Republic Insurance Co., Farm Bureau Life Insurance Co. and Homesteaders Life Co. were each ranked by Ward Group among the 50 top-performing life-health companies out of more than 800 companies, based on Ward’s annual analysis of the insurance industry. Each company passed safety and consistency screens and has achieved superior performance over the past five years. Comparisons based on benchmarks set by Ward’s 50 companies are available in Ward’s Results, an insurance industry financial reference series.
